ChipMOS PROVIDES NOTICE OF EARLY REDEMPTION TO HOLDERS OF 3.375% CONVERTIBLE SENIOR NOTES DUE 2011Hsinchu, Taiwan, March 31, 2011 – ChipMOS TECHNOLOGIES (Bermuda) LTD. ("ChipMOS" or the "Company") (Nasdaq: IMOS) today provided notice (the "Redemption Notice") to the holders (the "Holders") of its outstanding US$2.26 million of 3.375% Convertible Senior Notes due 2011 (the "Notes") of the Company's election to redeem all of the Holders' Notes with effect as of May 3, 2011 (the "Redemption Date"), in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Notes and the Indenture (the "Indenture"), dated as of September 29, 2006, between the Company and The Bank of New York Mellon, as trustee. Pursuant to the Indenture, the Company may, at its option, redeem all of Holders' Notes if at least 90% of the initial aggregate principal amount of Notes issued pursuant to the Indenture have been converted, repurchased or redeemed, at a price equal to 100% of the principal amount of the Notes, plus any accrued and unpaid interest on the Notes up to, but excluding, the Redemption Date.
